"Summer of Soul", dirigido por Questlove, vence como Melhor Documentário e ainda leva mais 5 prêmios no Critic's Choice Documentary Awards 2022!

O Critic's Choice Documentary Awards acabou de entregar os seus vencedores, aquecendo o termômetro da categoria de Melhor Documentário. É importante lembrar que, por mais que esteja em apenas sua sexta edição, a premiação acertou vitoriosos e indicados, nos mostrando que os filmes presentes aqui, são sim alguns dos nomes fortes para o Oscar!

No ano passado, o líder de vitórias daqui foi "Professor Polvo", que mais tarde levou o Oscar de Melhor Documentário.

O grande vencedor dessa edição foi "Summer of Soul", que deve tomar um bom impulso para o Oscar 2022, vencendo os prêmios de Melhor Documentário, Melhor Documentário Musical, Melhor Documentário de Arquivo, Melhor Primeiro Documentário, Melhor Edição e Melhor Direção. Inclusive, teve um empate em Melhor Direção com "The Rescue", outro grande vencedor, que levou três prêmios para casa.

Lembrando que "Summer of Soul" fala sobre um festival de música organizando no Harlem em 1969 para celebrar a cultura negra, mas que acabou sendo completamente ignorado pela mídia mesmo tendo grandes nomes da época como Nina Simone, B. B. King e Stevie Wonder.
