"Se a Rua Beale Falasse" é o vencedor do Spirit Awards 2019. Glenn Close, Ethan Hawke, Regina King e Richard E. Grant também ganham!

E o último prêmio antes da temporada antes do Oscar foi entregue no início da noite deste sábado, o Spirit Awards. O prêmio homenageia as produções independentes realizadas nos EUA e teve como o grande vencedor "Se a Rua Beale Falasse", de Barry Jenkins. Além de Melhor Filme ainda ganhou Melhor Ator Coadjuvante para Regina King e Melhor Direção para Jenkins. 

Quem também saiu muito bem do Spirit Awards foi "Poderia Me Perdoar?", com prêmios de Melhor Ator Coadjuvante para Richard E. Grant e Melhor Roteiro. Glenn Close mais uma vez surge poderosa por "A Esposa", levando Melhor Atriz; e confirmando os resultados da crítica, Ethan Hawke venceu mais uma vez por "No Coração da Escuridão". Vale ainda o destaque para as vitórias de "Roma" em Melhor Filme Internacional e "Won’t You Be My Neighbor?" em Melhor Documentário.
