“Moonlight" é escolhido como Melhor Filme pelo Independent Spirit Awards 2017!

​O Independent Spirit Awards que foi uma das primeiras premiações pré-Oscar ao revelar os indicados de 2017, agora fecha o ciclo ao anunciar os seus vencedores.

A premiação de filmes independentes deu importantes estatuetas para “Moonlight", incluindo Melhor Filme, Melhor Diretor para Barry Jenkins, Melhor Roteiro, Melhor Edição, Melhor Fotografia e o prêmio especial de Melhor Elenco. Já "Manchester à Beira-Mar" que tinha sido líder de nomeações, apenas ganhou em Melhor Ator com Casey Affleck. 

Para os fãs de "La La Land", não se assustem! O longa não é um filme independente, por isso não se encontra entre os nomeados. Uma das favoritas para o Oscar de Melhor Atriz, Isabelle Huppert ganhou na mesma categoria por sua atuação em "Elle", o ator  Ben Foster venceu como como Melhor Ator Coadjuvante por sua performance em "A Qualquer Custo". Já Molly Shannon por "Other People" ganhou como Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante. 

Entre outros destaques, "A Bruxa" ganhou como Melhor Primeiro Filme e Melhor Primeiro Roteiro, "O.J.: Made in America" levou como Melhor Documentário - e se mantém favorito para o Oscar - e "Toni Erdmann" foi agraciado como Melhor Filme Estrangeiro.
